#LOOKBEYOND AND COVID-19

As Kalamazoo County opens up from the shutdown, hope is in the air.

Yet our community is still dealing with the stress of a major crisis.

Trauma after a major pandemic is to be expected, and recovery takes time. Even positive changes and transitions – like going back to work or school – can be unsettling. Plus, many of us are dealing with economic uncertainty and systemic injustice, in addition to the virus. If you’re feeling distressed, you’re not alone.

These are all normal reactions to an abnormal situation. As we say often in our efforts to #BeStigmaFree, it's ok to not be ok.

To help the community during these challenging times, #LookBeyond is proud to partner with Integrated Services of Kalamazoo and Gryphon Place in a campaign called Refocus, Reconnect, Recover. It’s an effort to offer support and resources for staying safe, healthy, resilient, and hopeful during and after COVID-19.
